The biggest fencing event in the world-2019 Summer Nationals is over. 10 days-12 hours each day of amazing fencing!

We all came back exhausted, but recharged with positive emotions and plans for the next season.
This year we didn't get medals, even that we were very close to the medal rounds some of the days. I am extremely proud of all our fencers who competed at the nationals. Proud of the HFA fencers, who practiced hard all year, who succeeded some days and struggle others, but continue to pursuit the improvement.
So many of our students, made top 16,32 and 64 and got national points in average events between 150-336 fencers.
We are extremely proud of Melissa Kline- top 16 in Y14 Women's Foil(232) and 14th at Division 2 Women's Foil(172 fencers)
Quinlyn Morgan-51st in Juniors Men's Foil-(326 fencers) and 28th in Division 1A.
Jack Rasmussen-fencing at his first Summer nationals- Placed in top 64 in Y14Men's Epee(283fencers) and Division 3 Men's Epee(197 fencers)
Ian Flynn- His first nationals and placed 49th in Y12 MF(275 fencers)
Philip Nunnink- coming back after 3 months off fencing due to surgery and working hard to qualified for SN. Phillip placed 67th in Y14 MF(336 fencers) and 37th in Division 3MF(215 fencers).
Congrats also to Julia, Tarun ,Max, Joshua and Jack who try their best, build competitive experience at a highest national level and made new friends.

We are looking forward to a great and successful new season.
