We had a fantastic time hosting the girls from Notre Dame De Sion High School and teach them the basics of fencing.
Heartland Fencing Academy was featured in local news outlets, including KMBS 9, FOX4, KSHB41, and KCUR, during the January North American Cup in Kansas City, which saw participation from over 2300 fencers.
Despite the snow and icy conditions in Kansas City, the fencing-specific service organization DoGood made a lasting impact this weekend. The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City hosted an inspiring fencing demo, where Coach Emilia Ivanova introduced the sport to a group of enthusiastic kids.
